Navazos La Bota De Oloroso No 63, 375ml

Dry does not quite describe how dry the wine is, and time concentrates everything, so there's high acidity and extreme bitterness, with lots of dry extract. Sea water, iodine, seaweed, oyster shells and rusty nails, this is a beast of an Oloroso to enjoy smelling and sipping it slowly, rather than gulping it down in one. Again, as this was aged in Chiclana, it does not carry the Jerez appellation, but it has all the character of a Sherry anyway. And a superb one at that. This is an elegant beast of a wine that is going to be a legend. Robert Parker, Wine Advocate.
