Every bit as good as Rayas’ Fonsalette Côtes Du Rhône (a wine 10 times the price of this). It has an inviting nose of red and black fruits, violets and ironstone. The palate is deep and powerful, but light on its feet. It has all sorts of interesting savoury traits with plenty of mineral and earth under the flesh. There’s terrific balance and length. It should age really well. Trust us on this one, pin the ears back and buy. JH 2024
