1959 Château Balestard la Tonnelle, Grand Cru Classé Saint Emilion

Very top shoulder fill. 

Possesses some tertiary mushroom and compost notes along with lovely sweet fruit. It is round and creamy in the mouth with good flesh and tannins that have all but folded into the wine. It builds in the mouth and finishes with complex savoury flavours. A really nice and engaging drink.  JH 2013
