The forward aromas of black plum and cherry in the Vosne village from Méo-Camuzet is nicely set off with hints of liquorice and ginger, oak spice and smoke. The texture is tannic and firm but not astringent. The grapes are 80% from Barreaux (top of the slope) and 20% Aux Communes (at the bottom); they were destemmed nosand gently fermented before ageing in barrel, 30% new. 92 points. Charles Curtis MW.
