2024 Bruno Lorenzon Mercurey 1er Cru 'La Piece 13'

Parcels of fruit with the best potential are taken from the Champs Martin vineyard. Often these vines are planted at a density of 20k/ha. Over a 3-6 day period the fruit is taken, cooled and put into tank under CO2. It is kind of a vinous millefeuille. In 2024, only 4 barrels were made and it is superb. The scent of violets invade the nostrils. It is built around a core of rich black cherry. There’s so much mineral here. It is regal and powerful, almost in a Chambertin way. Length drives on and on.
