Bright, deep and youthful red-purple colour; there are subtle complexities involving undergrowth, rose-petals and pot-pourri. Wonderful bouquet. Good concentration and tight focus on the palate, with depth and structure. A serious pinot noir with intensity, line and persistence, lengthened and firmed by tight but measured tannins that impart some cleansing balsamic-herb bitterness. A delicious wine, that really fills up the back-palate. It would reward some cellaring. 96 points. Huon Hooke.
