The 2023 Puligny-Montrachet Villages has a crisp, quite animated bouquet with wet pavement and Granny Smith scents gently unfolding on the nose. It needs just a bit of coaxing. The palate is well balanced with a fine line of acidity, though it doesn't achieve the same degree of complexity as some of the previous vintages. Nevertheless, this is well balanced with good weight. 88-90 points. Neal Martin, Vinous.
