Another terrific effort is the 2023 Pommard 1er Cru Rugiens, a dense but suave wine that wafts from the glass with notes of cassis and dark wild berries mingled with notions of spices, minerals and pen ink. Medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, it's rich and textural, concluding with a long, expansive finish. 92-94 points. William Kelley.
