This ruby-coloured Santenay has moderately pronounced raspberry and plum fruit aromas with a hint of spice. The texture is light and delicate, with fresh acidity and moderately firm tannins; there is slightly more depth and length than the domaine's Santenay La Cassière. The Clos Gênet is located at the base of the slope; within the climat there is a walled clos that is the monopole of Domaine Jessiaume. This is a lovely village-level Santenay for drinking now or mid-term ageing. 93 points. Charles Curtis M.W.
