Perfectly ripe black cherry fruit at the core of this powerful wine. There are elements of perfumed beauty here too, violets abound on the nose. It is a rich and layered wine but light on its feet. There is not an ounce of extra weight, and the finish has fine mineral cut, expansion and serious length. An outstanding Gravité, perhaps the best yet?
