Made from the oldest vineyard of the estate planted 1936. 100% Sauvignon blanc from 86-year-old vines, hand-picked and sorted, very gentle pneumatic press and fermented in large ovoid oak (from the new and excellent Gonet Lacroix Tonnellerie not far from Sancerre) on fine lees for 11 months. It has a calm, cool and even nose of fresh lemon, flint, rockmelon and mountain herbs. It has great presence and texture in the mouth, silky against the gums yet possessing mineral detail. It drives through the palate, finishes with good cut and expands. Beautiful proportion and balance. JH 2025
