Vineyard planted 1902 and officially the oldest vineyard in Burgundy, according to winemaker Grégory Patriat. 70% of the vines are from the original planting. 50% whole bunch, indigenous yeasts. Light to mid crimson. Fragrant with dark-red fruit, fresh and stemmy but not too much so. Intense cherry fruit and remarkable concentration. Deep fruit, so fresh and the tannins perfectly modulated. Long and intense with moreish spice and sweet-savoury finish. Jancisrobinson.com
