Slightly exotic aromas of grapefruit and passion fruit are accented here with a bit of smoky reduction and a hint of acacia blossom. The texture of the wine balances richness and crisp acidity to draw out a lingering finish. Fichet farms two parcels totaling 0.86ha; one is at the top of the slope and the other mid-slope, exposed north and east in thin, rocky soils. This wine is racy and delicate, but there is enough substance to warrant a few years before opening and mid-term ageing. 93 points. Charles Curtis M.W.
