2021 Pascale Rion Delhautal Clos Vougeot “Le Petit Maupertuis” Grand Cru

A beautifully perfumed, supremely elegant Clos Vougeot. Fine aromatics of sandalwood, Chinese 5 spice powder, pomegranate and cherry. It is lacy in the mouth, with perfectly ripe fruit underpinned by a line of minerally acidity. It has flesh and savoury nuance and finishes with good cut. It is beautifully balanced and almost looks a bit more like RSV than Clos Vougeot. JH 2023
