One of my favourite crus in Barolo. I love Villero. This is from 65 year old vines. Floods the senses with perfume, all the dried flowers and spice, a dusting of pepper, liquorice root, red fruits and dark cherry, almond. Medium-weight, succulence to tannin, a ferrous and stony feel, has crispness, energy and intensity, and the length is superb. A wonderful wine from a great vintage and vineyard. 97 points.
