Ripe dark-skinned fruit, juniper berry, iris and French oak aromas propel out of the glass on the radiant 2021 Chianti Classico Riserva from Felsina. Elegant and showing wonderful intensity, the palate features succulent Marasca cherry, cassis, star anise and oak-driven sensations alongside firm, fine-grained tannins. Bright acidity keeps it balanced. This is still young so give it a few more years to fully develop. 95 points. Kerin O’Keefe.
