2021 Domaine Michel Rebourgeon Pommard 'La Vache'

This is the last separate bottling of the ‘old vines’ ‘La Vache’ before the old material was replanted, of which much of the fruit came off 1902 plantings. Yields were tiny here in ’21 and only 2 barrels produced. It has blood plum and licorice notes. It is fleshy and juicy. It is so silky of texture with tannins buried for now. As delicious as it is now, you just know this will be brilliant in a decade. JH 2025
