2021 Arnaud Lambert Saumur Coulée de St-Cyr

It is 100% Chenin Blanc from a selection of small holdings just north of Breze in the neighbouring village of Saint Cyr en Bourg on sandy clay soil over limestone.  There are freshly cut apples and pears on the nose. The palate has a wealth of fruit with smoky minerals in the background. It is generous yet contained, and there's a squeeze of lemon on the finish. A vital and fresh wine of good energy. JH 2022
