This is macerated on skins for a week, then pressed and vinified in wood (not new). It was racked in September and is now ready to bottle. Clear bright lemon colour. The bouquet is less flamboyant than some years but with a really impressive weight of wine. Wow! A wonderful concentrated mouthful. Moving well away from the standard idea of Aligoté. White fruit, infused with a limestone freshness, not so far from oyster shells in style. 89-91 points. Jasper Morris M.W.
