This is pretty closed and firm now, as you’d expect of a Nebbiolo that’s barely (if even) a year old. There’s ripe red fruits, star anise and spice, some dried flower and orange peel perfume. Full-bodied, but fresh and quite juicy, distinct blood orange flavour in with red cherry and almond, chalky tannin grip, and a lively spicy finish with black tea and a pleasing amaro tang. Has plenty of life and energy. I think this is going to turn out very nicely. Drink 2022-2030+ 92+ points Gary Walsh, The Wine Front.
