2020 Picariello Irpinia Fiano

Ciro produces this from his estate vineyard and adds back a little of the first pressing to give the wine a little texture in youth, it's from younger vines and it has great energy and drive; this is the perfect wine by the glass - all made in tank it's full of zesty, rocky minerally (volcanic) flavour and has serious concentration and wonderful balance. This is why I love Italian white wine - refreshing, contemplative and very moreish, it is beautiful drinking!  JH 2022
