2020 Giacomo Conterno Vigna Francia Barbera MAGNUM

A serious wine with finesse and structure. Delicate violet notes are punctuated with cooler anise and graphite minerality. The nose of blue fruits carries through to the palate where some red currants and sour cherries show through. The texture is almost pastry like, and the palate is bright with loads of energy from a bracing acid line that breathes life into a super concentrated palate. Incredible.  JH 2022
