This is spicy, deep and penetrating. The nose has plenty going on, with notes of violets, blood plum, blackberry and menthol. The palate is rich and intense, with creamy black fruits at its heart. It is fleshy and underpinned by gravelly tannins. There's fresh acidity and plenty of chew to the long finish. A real crowd pleaser. This is a relatively new Domaine with great holdings in St.Joseph.
