The 2019 Villa di Geggiano Chianti Classico Riserva has more power and structure than the standard Chianti Classico bottling and spends 42 months in French oak (mainly larger format and older barrels). It is deep and penetrating, with awesome fruit weight and complexity. It will reward extended cellaring. If you loved the 2018, you’ll be all over this one. It is a step up again. JH 2025
