2018 Georges Descombes Régnié

Dark, glistening violet.  Mineral-accented red and blue fruit, floral and succulent herb aromas show good clarity, and a hint of exotic spices builds with air.  Coats the palate with ripe boysenberry, black raspberry and candied violet flavours supported by a core of juicy acidity.  Densely packed but lively as well, closing with tannic grip and lingering red fruit, spice and mineral notes.
