The 2017 Pommard 1er Cru Les Fremiers goes from strength to strength, soaring from the glass with aromas of rose petals, orange rind, sweet berry fruit and plums, deftly framed by a subtle touch of new oak. Medium to full-bodied, ample and layered, it's fleshy and complete, with melting tannins, succulent acids and a long, peony-inflected finish. Readers with the 2017 in their cellars should be very happy indeed. 94 points. William Kelley
