There’s nothing heavy or even especially taut about this wine and yet it takes a good while to really open up and express itself properly. Decanting is most definitely advised. It’s light- to medium-weight and it’s charming with it. This really does have personality. Pencils, herbs, game meats, sweet-sour cherries, roasted nuts and perhaps even citrus flavours. It’s a fine-fingered wine, light but persuasive, built on its acidity, deceptively well structured as a whole. It also manages to be both clean and characterful.
