Fruit off a single vineyard planted in 1848. The wine has extended cellaring by Cirillo before release. This is a ridiculous bargain. A deep and complex wine, with intense blood plum fruit at its core. It has some smoked meat savoury nuance along with notes of dried flowers and earth. It is layered and long and very fresh. One is left with an impression of spice and fruit long after the wine is swallowed. JH 2021
