It was hand-picked and fermented as a combination of whole berries and whole bunches in open fermenters, with gentle plunging and minimal working. Aged in French oak barriques for fourteen months. It is immediately expressive with red berry and plum fruits along with some floral spice. It is rich and layered with a core of raspberry fruit. There's a hint of earthy development but it remains remarkably youthful and built for the long haul. JH 2022
