Expressive from the get go. Savoury notes of smoked meats, wild herbs and earth greet the nose. It really builds in the mouth, developing a core of red fruit and expanding with all of its floral complexity. It is on of those wines that sneaks up on you, titillating the senses with all sorts of pleasurable things and then withdrawing to keep everything in check. It is a wine of fabulous texture and restraint. JH 2019
