1999 Armilla Brunello di Montalcino

Full red-ruby. Aromas of currant, mocha, tobacco and cedary, nutty oak, with truffley forest floor hints. Juicy and firm-edged, with rather primary, medicinal dark berry flavors. Finishes a bit youthfully tough, with a suggestion of cough syrup. Stephen Tanzer, Vinous.
