Almost Burgundian on the nose with some decaying leaves, beef stock, musk, game and pungent floral spice. In the mouth you get some of the chocolate and rosewater notes you see in fine Chateauneuf. The palate is full and texture lacy. There's vinous sweetness and excellent persistence. Drinking at the top of its game. JH 2017
