1985 Castiglion del Bosco Brunello di Montalcino

In great form. Smells of leather, truffles, ripe plum and baked earth. It is full, sweet and vinous in the mouth. There's plenty of savoury nuance and it has great freshness and chew. I gave it plenty of air in a decanter and it continued to open up in the glass, showing all sorts of floral complexity. JH 2020
