1982 Fontanafredda Barolo

Really got going after a long decant. The nose has the classic tar and roses Barolo thing going on along with notes of dried fruits, bitter chocolate, iron and meat. It is strong and muscular, with excellent depth of fruit and plenty of floral nuance. The finish is chewy and length is impressive. JH 30/12/2017
