1979 Aldo Conterno Barolo Romirasco Cavalieri del tartufo label

A gorgeous bottle that was singing after a 6 hour decant. Classic tar and rose notes greet the nose. There’s sweet cherry fruit and some Inian spice too. It glides around the palate, delivering a flavour hit of fruit, flora and geological matter. It is beautifully balanced and so fragrant. Structural elements are completely relaxed.  JH 2026
