A couple of hours in the decanter unlocks all of the wines savoury perfume. There are notes of meat, blood, earth, balsamic, dried flowers and red fruits. With more air Iandian spices came to the fore. It is rich in the mouth and quite heady. It has great volume and intense fruit flavours. The Barolo tar boots in towards the end and the finish is carried by sandy tannins. JH 29/12/2017
