1970 Francesco Rinaldi Barolo

The 1970 Francesco Rinaldi Barolo is drinking beautifully at age forty and has many more years of life still ahead of it. The bouquet is deep, resolved and classic in its mix of black cherries, tarry tones, gamebirds, fresh oregano, sous bois and a delicate topnote of anise. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and still sports a bit of tannin, with lovely mid-palate depth, fine complexity, tangy acids and excellent focus and grip on the long, old school finish. A fine bottle of Barolo. Drink 2025+.
