1969 Giacomo Conterno Barolo

Has some truffle and earth to the aroma. Really gets going with air and the palate has all sorts of tart, red fruit things pinging around the gums. There are florals and a suggestion of tar. It is an ethereal wine with build and worked a treat with slow cooked lamb shoulder. JH 2018
