1967 Produttori del Barbaresco Barbaresco, Martinenga

I should have given this more than the three hour decant that I did. It finally cracked open to reveal its charms about half way through the bottle. At first it was all antique furniture and earth. You get a whiff of Indian spice and the fruit still has redness about it. Some decaying roses come to the fore towards the end and it has good intensity and chewy tannins with lingering flavours of soy and reducing meats. Length is impressive. JH 2017
