1965 Giuseppe Mascarello Barolo

A bright and glistening quality to the appearance. The nose has some truffle/mushroom development along with notes of tar and rose petal. With air the wine's red fruits appear. It is relatively lean but not overtly skinny. There's real vitality here and understatement. A joy to drink and so fresh on the finish with engaging perfume. JH 2022
