2018 Albert Seltz Sylvaner de Mittelbergheim

Albert Seltz is the champion of Sylvaner and fought for years so that it could have Grand Cru status when grown on the right patches of dirt in Alsace. He makes superb Sylvaner that has the fruit vibrancy and punch of Riesling with the texture and richness of Pinot Gris. As with all of his wines his 2018 Domaine Albert Seltz Sylvaner de Mittelbergheim is precise and finishes with a fresh, salty minerality. It has a discreet whiff of orchard fruits. JH 2020
