Yields were so low in the 1er Cru vineyards of Charmots and Arvelets that the two were blended to make this cracker. It is deep, dark and smoky, with an intense core of sweet fruit. There’s plenty of meat and spice and the extremely long finish is tinged with earth. It is a wine for the ages, not to be touched before its 10th birthday, but should blossom into something spectacular. JH 2018
