We love spending time in Burgundy, often staying at Chez Hall in Meursault. This is our list of favourite places to eat when in the area. For full detailed reports and reviews, see repast.

Melbournians, Anthony Hall and Kay Sneath have done a most magnificent renovation on their historic property in the heart of Meursault.
Chez Hall is divided into three separate residences available for rent: the main house, the cottage and the barn. For larger groups, there is the flexibility to connect the house and barn. Fixtures and fittings are first rate. The kitchen is wonderful, with a Laconche stove and two dishwashers. There is a private deck, perfect for watching the sun glisten through Monsieur Coche’s Rougeots vineyard late in the day with a glass of Burg in hand.

Each Saturday the streets of Beaune are near impossible to navigate close to the centre due to the popularity of this great market. Bresse hens, Comté cheese, French soaps and even an Australian coffee stall, to quash those caffeine pangs. The fresh produce here is unquestionable, be prepared to line up to purchase items at the indoor cheese and meat section. We highly recommend the rôtisserie chicken.
